In this excerpt from a September 2004 discourse, Avatar Adi Da addresses the fact that people tend to value good experiences and shun the bad ones. Avatar Adi Da reveals—which comes as a surprise to many—that all experience is inherently binding. Positive or negative—it doesn’t make any difference!

Not stopping there, He also gives specific descriptions of what must be discovered in either case:
• Positive: “You must identify your suffering even in your apparent enjoyment.”
• Negative: “You must find your freedom, even in your pain and apparent suffering.”
