SACRED HISTORY for December 5th

1981   Adi Da Samraj Gives the Essay “The Lesson”, in which He Identifies the two great crises of human existence, and the Way to pass beyond them:

“The first great crisis of human existence is the observation of the tentative, minimal, and always temporary association between life and Happiness—and how the mortal and limited nature of embodiment itself makes the search for Happiness both a necessary and a futile enterprise. I Argue that Lesson, so that you may become serious, understand your un-Happiness, and begin the Way of Happiness Itself.

The second great crisis of life is this process of serious understanding of un-Happiness and conversion to the Way of Happiness (rather than the futile search for Happiness). Such understanding is what I Call Hearing Me, and such conversion is what I Call Seeing Me. It is only when such Hearing and Seeing prevail that the practice of the Reality-Way of Adidam can truly begin.”  ~The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary

1994    Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and Discourses on the signs of True Hearing of Him.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Samraj Says in summary:

“In the case of True Hearing of Me, there is only one simple thing to be done. You forget yourself and Commune with Me. You ‘know’ very well that this is the representation of your understanding. All else is ‘self’-contraction.

No matter what comes up, there is one thing to be done and you ‘know’ you have this capability. No matter what comes up, you simply hold onto Me, you surrender to Me. You Commune with Me. You just forget about all the rest. That is what most fundamental ‘self’-understanding is about. It is just that simple. And, also, what makes it simple is that the one who has understood in that sense chooses a life that is ‘Bonded’ to Me, and that is it.”  ~Adi Da Samrajashram
