1980 Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and Reveals the Identity and Function of the true Spiritual Master.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Says:

“What the Siddhas or great Spiritual Masters Realize Is One Great Being. They become Identical with That One through Realization, but they are not different from one another.

Spiritual Masters appear in certain times and places, and through Awakened association with them, people associate directly with the Divine and Awaken to the Great Process of Spiritual Realization. Yet, in essence, such Spiritual Masters are not different from one another. They are the same Identity. They have Realized the same One. They are precisely the same Presence, precisely the same Infinite Person. Likewise, the devotees of Spiritual Masters of the past are related to the same One to Whom devotees relate in the present.

The Spiritual Master is a kind of vehicle, or function, for Realization in the conditionally manifested universe.

In order to establish the relationship with such a Spiritual Master that is lauded in the traditions, in order to devotionally recognize the Spiritual Master, and on the basis of that devotional recognition enter into heartfelt Divine Communion and surrender, one must oneself be transformed. It is not a conventional relationship, therefore, in which a childish, ego-possessed personality accepts the superiority and parentalism of some other character. That is not it at all. One must devotionally recognize and Awaken in relationship to the Spiritual Master as a transparent Vehicle of Divine Communion.

The relationship to a true Spiritual Master—no matter how many different Spiritual Masters have appeared—is the same relationship that all devotees enjoy, because Real God, not any individual, is Communicating in that relationship.

The Spiritual Master is the Spiritual Master through the Realization of Identity with Real God, not through the realization of superior personal existence. His or her personal existence, superior or inferior, is utterly transcended in Real-God-Realization. That transcendence establishes the true and high function of the Spiritual Master, or Adept-Realizer, or Siddha-Guru. Such an Adept is a Transparent Mechanism, a direct Vehicle of Divine Association for those who are Awakened, those who can devotionally recognize such an individual and enter into the Yoga of that relationship.

For others, the Spiritual Master can be positively influential in various ways, but his or her Influence will not be tantamount to Enlightenment, or Realization, or true relationship, except in the case of the devotee’s maturity and Awakening.” ~The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary
