 1988    Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and Speaks about the necessary ordeal of Spiritual life.

His Divine Presence, Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Samraj, Says:

“For you to practice and Realize Real God does not require the universe to become something different than it is. It requires you to be a different kind of participant.

The ego-transcending ordeal is the ‘robe’ the practitioner puts on. Every practitioner of Spiritual life puts on the robe of the ordeal, the robe of ‘self’-discipline, the robe of strength, the robe of ‘heroism’ relative to conditional existence.

Practice is ego-transcending. It is an extraordinary ordeal, a profoundly intelligent and ‘heroic’ process. And the Listening and Hearing sequence is just the first step. It does not eradicate the great responsibility, or relieve you of the circumstances associated with conditional existence. They are the substance, the conditional substance, in which you function as a devotee.

There is no relief. This is why Realization is necessary to the degree of Absolute Outshining, because there is no relief in this hot place of termination—none. It must be transcended, it must be out-grown.”  ~Adi Da Samrajashram
