SACRED HISTORY for February 19th

1974 Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and Gives the Talk, “Death Is Not Your Concern”.

His Divine Presence, Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da, Says:

“Conditions or ‘experiences’ themselves do not determine you. The Divine does. If you live in the Divine, any event, any apparent condition, ceases to condition your quality and your humor and make it something less. So one who has become Free in Real God is Truly Free.

Such a one no longer has concerns about whether he or she will appear or not appear, in what shape he or she will appear, or anything like that. Such a one is Happy, and Real God is Sufficient for that individual. That is the Condition to be in. Only That Condition permits appropriate purification to occur. Only That Condition will allow you to be Drawn into Happiness wherever you may arise.”  ~The Mountain of Attention

1994  Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and Speaks about the process of becoming a true renunciate. In the Discourse “The Way Out of Pleasure and Pain”, published in My “Bright” Form,

His Divine Presence, Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da, Says:

“Notice anything you enjoy—anything whatsoever. Initially, you enjoy it. Then, over time, repeating the enjoyment, trying to get the pleasure out of it, the pleasure becomes greatly reduced. What you are left with is the pattern reinforcing itself, demanding repetition. When you become sensitive to this repetitive cycle, your entire life feels like a dilemma of dis-ease. This understanding about conditional existence is one dimension of life in My Divine Avataric Company that makes you into a renunciate.

The other dimension of it is your devotion to Me. The more profoundly your devotion to Me is magnified, the less consistently your attention moves toward pleasure or conditionality or addictive patterns.

Devotion to Me is the primary dimension of life in My Divine Avataric Company that makes you into a renunciate. When these two dimensions of your practice of the Reality-Way of Adidam become most profoundly consequential, then you are fully and truly a renunciate—one who is not moved in attention toward conditionality, but whose attention and entire body-mind-complex are moved in devotional surrender to Me.

That is when the Reality-Way of Adidam I have Revealed and Given becomes most profound. That is the basis on which Ultimate Realization is truly your potential.”  ~Adi Da Samrajashram
