1982 The Yoga of Consideration and the Way That I Teach
1998 Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and “Considers” the importance of the capability of Truly Hearing Him.
His Eternal Divine Presence, Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Samraj, Says:
“The Reality-Way of Adidam is not a search—it is not pursuing results, and so on. It is, in every moment, about transcending the ‘self’-contraction, which is itself the origin of seeking. So it is not merely a matter of working on yourself to do this, it is a matter of recognizing Me, responding to Me. That is the motion, the force of this Yoga. It is not set in motion by you, it is set in motion by Me. It is not ‘self’-referring, it is ‘self’-surrendering, ‘self’-forgetting, ‘self’-transcending. And the only way to enter into such Communion with Me is by transcending the ‘self’-contraction with Me-Hearing capability.
Once that capability is there, it is to be exercised under all conditions, not only in terms of all functions, and so forth, but in terms of all kinds of ‘experience’.
Therefore, as the signs of the stages of practice-demonstration unfold from that point, the Me-Hearing exercise continues under the conditions of those patterns of arising and those patterns of the ego-transcending practice—in other words, the forms of Samadhi associated with the stages of practice-demonstration.
The stages are not the Reality-Way of Adidam. The Reality-Way of Adidam is demonstrated, in the context of the stages, by transcending them.” ~Da Love-Ananda Mahal
