1993 Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and Speaks to a young devotee about the death process and the absolute necessity of engaging the ego-transcending practice He has Revealed in every moment while we live.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Says:

“People fear it before they get into it, but when they get into the death process, there is a certain comfortableness in it. The body-mind-complex ‘knows’ what to do. The body-mind-complex is growing now and doing its thing now and you do not necessarily ‘know’ altogether about it, but it ‘knows’.

You are not going to die, the body-mind-complex is going to die someday and it ‘knows’ how to do it. The body-mind-complex ‘knows’ exactly how to do it. And all that equipment will come into place when your time comes to pass on. All of sudden, the equipment is all there. All that capability is right there. That is the least of it—that is no big deal.

‘Knowing’ how to live, ‘knowing’ how to surrender while alive, ‘knowing’ how to transcend yourself—that is the difficult part. When the death time comes, you do not ‘know’ necessarily, but the body-mind-complex ‘knows’ exactly how to do it and is completely capable of it. Yes, completely capable.

So death is no big deal. Living is the big deal. Transcending egoity while you are here, while you are alive, that is the big deal. Volunteering for it, being willing to do the ego-transcending work, dealing with yourself. That is it.” ~Adi Da Samrajashram
