1978 Adi Da Samraj Writes the Essay “I Have Come to Accept the Worship of My Devotees”, originally published in Vision Mound Magazine, Vol. 2, No. 5.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Writes:

“The essence of practice in the Reality-Way of Adidam is continuous devotional Communion with Me, the Divine Person, the Self-Existing and Self-Radiant Divine Consciousness in Which all beings and ‘worlds’ are arising, and of Which all beings and ‘worlds’ are the ‘Play’, or spontaneous modification. Such devotional Communion must be Realized through ecstatic, or ego-transcending, surrender of the whole body, via each kind of moment of functional activity.

Thus, Consciousness Itself, the All-Pervading, Living, Self-Existing and Self-Radiant Love-Bliss of the Divine Person, must be Realized moment to moment. The Reality-Way of Adidam is the Way of devotion of the whole body to the Living God. And the unique Help or Means of this devotion Is My Person and My Reality-Teaching. I Am not other than the Divine Person. I Am the Self-Existing and Self-Radiant Divine Consciousness, Shown to humankind through My bodily (human) Divine Form.”

Adi Da then Concludes:

“Know this: I Appear among My devotees to receive and accept their sacrifice of egoic ‘self’, their worship and Remembrance of Me, their surrender to Me, their requests, their Love of Me, their explicit devotion of body and mind.

When My devotees come into My physical human Company, they should spend that time in every kind of devotional association with Me, in order that I may Respond to them from My Heart, Granting them the Blessings of all My Love-Blissful Excesses. Through this Lawful worship, I am able to Do My Work. If I am not worshipped by My devotees, My Heart is not touched by them, and My Blessings are not Communicated to them.

Therefore, when you are in My physical human Company, create that time as every kind of worship of Me. Bring your bodies and minds to Me, as I Bring This Body-Mind to you. Then you will be Given the Realization of My Transcendental Spiritual (and All-Pervading) Presence, and you will Find Me always Present under the conditions of all ‘experience’ and in the company of all beings.

Then, even when I am not Bodily with you, you will worship Me and surrender to Me via every state of body and mind, and I will always Be with you. At last, you will be Drawn into My Very (and Inherently Perfect) State, so Intimate with Me that no essential ‘difference’ is noticed by you. Then you will Self-Abide in Me forever, whether or not the ‘worlds’ of ‘experience’ arise to your notice.” ~Da Love-Ananda Mahal
