SACRED HISTORY for December 28th

2004  Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees in Samraj Mahal, and with the Global Ashram of all His devotees via a live broadcast over the Internet, to Answer questions. One devotee asks Adi Da Samraj about the nature of Realization.

His Divine Presence, Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da, Says:

“Changes of the body-mind-complex are not Realization. A devotee of Mine, practicing on the basis of having already presumed egoity (and the ‘world’ and his or her ‘worldly’ whatevers) to be the case, goes through a process of transcending egoity in the course of practice in My Divine Avataric Company, that effectively shows the signs of that transcending of egoity (in its various forms) that I have Identified in terms of the developmental stages of life. But those changes are not Realization. They are characteristics that arise in the case of devotees who are progressing toward the ‘Perfect Practice’–in Which I Am Realized. So Realization of Me is not to be identified with those changes.

Realization is Realization of That Which Is Always Already The Case. It is not Realization of changes of the body-mind-complex. It is not based on doing something with the body-mind-complex, doing something to the body-mind-complex, ‘experiencing’ something in the body-mind-complex or as the body-mind-complex, or in and as the ‘world’.

It is simply about Awakening to That Which Is Always Already The Case, the Self-Nature, Self-Condition, and Self-State of Reality Itself–just That. And Awakening to It As It Is–not ideas about It, not to a practice of ‘inverting’ on It somehow–just As It Is, As It Is now.”

Adi Da goes on to Say:

“When the egoic position is not assumed, then the Nature and Reality of That Which Is Always Already The Case Is Self-Evident, or becomes Self-Evident by Grace. If it were merely Self-Evident, it would be Realized in your case now.

So you must devotionally recognize Me, devotionally respond to Me, live by My Instruction, turn to Me, be surrendered to Me by that constant turning, live this practice seriously, bring the body-mind-complex to concentration rather than mere wandering as a separate planet (‘planet’ means ‘wanderer’). Not ego-possessed, not an independent center of virtue. Surrendered only, surrendered to Me, given to Me, so that the Transcendental Spiritual Self-Radiance of My Person can Affect even the total body-mind-complex and bring My devotee to that point where My State can be Given as a Gift, Self-Evidently Shining and beyond all doubt.

That is how the ‘Perfect Practice’ begins. And the Perfect Realization in the fullest sense, in other words, the Realization of It in the third stage of the ‘Perfect Practice’ sense, or the seventh stage of life sense, Is the Perfect Demonstration of the Reality-Way of Adidam.”  ~Adi Da Samrajashram
