SACRED HISTORY for June 18th

1996   The day after His return to Adi Da Samrajashram, Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees in My Plain Word and Describes how the devotee is one who submits to be Mastered.

His Divine Presence, Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da, Says:

“If you have a Master, then you are not your own principle of life and practice. As it says in the ancient texts about the Ashvamedha, the human being does not ‘know’, only the horse ‘knows’. Therefore, grasp the tail of the horse. In other words, embrace the Guru and be Mastered.”

Adi Da goes on to Say:

“There is nothing in the body-mind-complex that ‘knows’ about Realizing Me.

Therefore, you must be devoted, surrendered. Forget yourself, accept My Instruction, and be Governed by Me in your doings. This is not childish—this is what it is to be truly human. Be an adult—in other words, no longer one who assigns the faculties of discrimination and responsibility to parents, but one who takes the treasure from the parents’ house, and, as a man or woman, can surrender to the Divine Avataric Master, full of the faculties of discrimination, full of the faculties of discrimination, clarity of heart, and clarity of mind. Your surrender to Me is not the absence of these things, it is based on these things.

It takes profound discrimination to choose to surrender to the Divine Avataric Master, not the absence of it. I look for those who will function as My devotees for real.”  ~Adi Da Samrajashram

2007   Adi Da’s Retirement Statement, “My Final Work Is Me—Alone”, is Completed.  ~Adi Da Samrajashram
