1986 Adi Da Gathers with devotees and Responds to a question about the stages of life and practice-demonstration in the Reality-Way of Adidam.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Says:

“In the Great Tradition of humankind, the great transition that must be realized is the transition from the first three stages of life to the fourth. To be truly established in the fourth stage of life is the great accomplishment toward which practitioners traditionally are moving, or should be moved.

To be established in the fourth stage of life and receive Grace directly through Blessing is to be established in Divine Communion, the freedom of Real-God-Realization by Grace. As My devotees, you must grow beyond ‘self’-contraction, the social personality, the first three stages of life. That is your calling and the calling to humankind in general.”

Adi Da Goes on to Say:

“There is nothing more to do than Realize Real God. Therefore, what difference does it make whether you practice in the context of the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, the seventh—or the twenty-fifth stage of life? There is only Real God to be Realized. What you must do is transcend the impediment to Divine Communion and be established in a position to Realize the Grace of the Divine, to be directly in line with It. If that transcending is true of you, then what stage of life is it? Is there any such thing as a stage of life in the moment of Divine Communion? Who cares? What difference does it make then?

There is no game in this Way of Life to go to the so-called ‘advanced’ stages. You must understand yourself and be liberated—through Hearing Me and Seeing Me—from constant submission to the ‘self’-contraction and its deluding power. You must become responsible for it through Hearing Me and Seeing Me, through ‘radical self-understanding’, so that you can relinquish the illusion of that ‘dis-ease’, moment to moment, and Realize the Divine, enter into Divine Communion in place, directly.” ~The European Danda, Maria Hoop, the Netherlands
