1988 Adi Samraj Gathers with devotees and Instructs them in the fundamental requirements for living and fulfilling the Guru-devotee relationship in every moment.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Says:

“One does not become a participant in the Divine Revelation of the Guru by standing apart, being an abstracted adolescent, constantly thinking, thinking, thinking, and creating one’s own practice. The Guru-devotee relationship, if really practiced, can be effective only if the ego, or the ‘self’-contraction, is surrendered to the Guru in devotion. And when this surrender is Most Perfect, the Divine Awakening-Power is allowed to do its Most Perfect Work.

If practitioners of the Reality-Way of Adidam are resisting the real practice of the Guru-devotee relationship, the fault lies in two habits: (1) the egoity of body and (2) the egoity of mind.

The first fault appears as resistance to ‘self’-discipline and commitment to various forms of ‘self’-indulgence. The second fault is the mind’s constantly thinking itself into all the illusions of apparently separate consciousness.

The Great Principle of the Way of Truth is to turn the body-mind-complex to the Guru—in other words, to transcend ‘self’-indulgence and body-identification, and to transcend all illusions of mind, or mind-identification, through fullest commitment and most active devotion to the Realized Guru. Such a practice is ego-transcending, and the transcending of the ego is the point of the Guru-devotee relationship.”

Adi Da goes on to Say:

“I Am here to be Available to people who practice the Guru-devotee relationship with Me. In other words, I Am here to Serve My devotees.

Therefore, I Require that people who come into My physical human Company are prepared to do so. This means they must truly found themselves in the tradition of the Guru-devotee relationship, and they must adapt their lives to the basic disciplines and practices of the Reality-Way of Adidam as I have Given them. If they do not do these two things, they will simply dramatize their childish and adolescent motives whenever they come into My Company, and they will be neglectful of Me.

Therefore, before you come into My physical Company, you must truly ‘consider’ My Sign. You must discover how to fulfill My Reality-Teaching, through ‘consideration’ with others and in response to My devotees who are already practicing the Guru-devotee relationship and who will, therefore, inspire you to such practice.

To practice the true devotee’s relationship to Me requires intelligent discrimination, an inspirational change of life, a change of orientation in general, and the embrace of a basically ‘self’-disciplined habit of living.” ~The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary
