1980 Adi Da Samraj Writes the Essay “Our Defense of the Body in God”.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Writes:

“The Way that My devotees have found and chosen in the Reality-Way of Adidam is the Way of the Transfiguration, or Transcendental Spiritual Liberation, of the total and single body-mind-complex. They do not appeal to any separate, internal part, nor do they identify with ‘inward’ and subtle ‘knowledge’ or ‘experience’ for its own sake. They acknowledge the Self-Existing, Self-Radiant, all-and-All-Pervading, Universal, and Transcendental Spiritual Divine Being to Be the Condition in Which the ‘world’, every being, and the total or single body-mind-complex are presently arising and changing.

Therefore, they do not turn away from the ‘world’, other beings, or any part of the body-mind-complex. Rather, they surrender as the total and single body-mind-complex into the Self-Existing and Self-Radiant Transcendental Spiritual Divine Being.

The Reality-Way of Adidam is ‘world’-positive, life-positive, body-positive, sex-positive, happiness-positive, and in every sense positive. My devotees have learned this through the trial of their own ‘experiment’ and ‘foolishness’.

Therefore, they highly value and cherish that ‘experiment’ and that ‘foolishness’. They are even more ‘foolish’ now in their freedom, since they no longer suffer the doubt, ‘self’-division, and ‘self’-hatred that are the essence of conventional minds and the common suffering of humankind.

Therefore, stand free. Do not be afraid. Do not doubt what has been Heard and Seen and Realized. Be strong. Love and trust and surrender to the God of the body-mind-complex. Let the One Who Lives all beings Achieve Victory in this time of universal bewilderment and aggressive denial of the Living God. Let not any ‘worldly’ power confirm the doubt of the bodily Truth of humankind in God. Let humankind hear this Truth by your witness and your defense.

All of humankind is suffering the doubt of the body, the ‘world’, and God. Let them hear your defense of the body in God. Let them feel the ‘world’-Transfiguring Destiny that arises with the bodily love of God and the ‘world’. Let them know that you have transcended the error whereby human beings find it impossible to delight in one another and to love and be free as the body itself.”

Adi Da Concludes:

“The common error of humanity is to deny Real God, the Self-Existing and Self-Radiant Transcendental Spiritual Divine Being. This leads to exploitation of body and mind for the sake of separate ‘self’ in mortal fear. And the common error, even of those who would acknowledge God, is to presume an ‘inner’ Spiritual Reality that is separate from the body and that requires denial of the body as the vehicle of delight and love and freedom in God. In their ordeal of practice, My devotees have overcome the denial of God and the denial of the body in God. They worship Real God bodily, and are restored to the Truth and Transfigured Destiny of the ‘world’, the body, and all beings. This is their Realization and their strength.

Those who deny Real God and who doubt the bodily ‘self’ are suffering in themselves. They must awaken from the ‘subjective’ realm of suffering and enter into whole bodily Divine Communion. They must devote themselves to the Awakening of humankind through the positive and free defense of the Reality-Way I have Revealed and Given to them.

My devotees must never collapse into ‘self’-destructive doubts. Let them join with all the friends and allies of humankind to serve all beings with the Blessings of the Great One. Let them meet every trial that comes upon them with the strength of Truth. Let them do what is right for the sake of humanity, and let Real God Determine the trial and all results for whatever purposes the Very Divine Will Choose to Serve in this ‘world’. Let them surrender into doubt-free and positive commitment to the One they cannot deny. Let them recognize the true humor of it all, and so let them be ready to freely defend the Way of Truth with intelligence and vital strength.” ~The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary
