1993 Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and “Considers” the “root-sensation” that motivates all seeking.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Says:

“I keep Criticizing you for the fact that you are involved in seeking and not understanding what is motivating it. You are not being responsible for what is motivating it. Therefore, your search never comes to an end, you never handle any life-business, you never become capable of Spiritual life in My Divine Avataric Company, because you will not provide the foundation of this understanding—operative, activated, demonstrated. You are always trying to clean up your act relative to this, that, or the other thing. That is just life-manipulation, on its own. That is all it is. It is seeking.

So I Call you to address this motivator, this sensation of the knot, the sensation of ‘self’-contraction. That is why you are up to that seeking business, that is why you have a ‘problem’, that is why you want to have a ‘problem’ or want to be involved in the thing that is ‘problematic’. That is why. Understand and transcend this contraction, this ‘root’-sensation, and everything is simplified. In every moment where you observe and transcend this ‘self’-knot, all aspects of the life-‘program’ that you have made are inherently simple, and much of it is unnecessary.

The ordinariness of your living is not itself unnecessary, but the complications, the seeking, and much of the life-choices you make—all that is unnecessary, and can just be abandoned, in fact. And that is what you must do. If you will not do it, it is because you are not in touch with this ‘root’-sensation and are not transcending it moment to moment. So you are still left in the ‘effect’ of all of that, motivated by the ‘root’-sensation of the ‘self’-contraction, with all its ‘effects’, desires, reactivity. The pursuit of ‘objects’, ‘others’, ideas—all those complications, they all come from it.

So the thing to be responsible for, that changes everything and simplifies everything, is the ‘locating’ of this ‘root’-sensation, which is present in every moment—pleasure or pain, high or low, it is always present. And it is something you are doing, so it is something for which you can be entirely responsible. It is not ‘caused’ by anyone else. It is not ‘caused’ by any past events. It is not ‘caused’ by any present events. It is your own action. You are the ‘cause’ of it. Nothing, no one other than you is the ‘cause’ of it. So it is right there, as you, to be dealt with in every moment in devotional surrender to Me.” ~Adi Da Samrajashram
