SACRED HISTORY for May 27th

1995 Adi Da Samraj Gathers with devotees and “Considers” His Gift of cooperative culture for all practitioners.

His Divine Presence Parama-Sapta-Na Adi Da Says:

Cooperative association in the Reality-Way of Adidam is not about everybody achieving ‘utopia’, or the glorification, the glorious fulfillment of the middle-class ideal. Rather, it is about everybody being able to most fully practice Adidam—without having to be a formal, isolated-in-an-Ashram, celibate or renunciate, in any terms.

You can live this Way with the essential renunciation that is the characteristic of the Reality-Way of Adidam, and, at the same time, live as if in an Ashram. In fact, this is another word I have used to describe the sacred cooperative gathering—it is Ashram life. It is people organizing themselves together to handle all the practical requirements of life—and very positively oriented to it—but not living in the ‘worldly’ manner, not living merely separately or egoically, but enabling one another, empowering one another to practice the Reality-Way of Adidam most effectively.

You just cooperatively handle practicalities very directly, every day. And eliminate, and certainly reduce, all the struggle associated with fulfilling the practical requirements of life. You are not to ‘self-guru’ yourself, but to apply My Divine Avataric Word, and do it systematically, as an individual and in cooperation with all other devotees.

And it is interesting to fulfill all of the cooperative life-disciplines I have Given you. These are very creative endeavors, and go far beyond the boredom of the ego-possessed individual. But you have to get into it! You must study My Divine Avataric Word and then apply It, and then be held accountable.

The entire gathering is here to serve each and every individual in his or her vow and obligation as a devotee of Mine, and to serve making the practical realities of life as easy as possible to fulfill, through cooperation, and also to expect every individual to maintain a rule of simplicity—not ascetical-style renunciation, but simplicity. Do it as right life rather than as dramatization of egoic, ‘worldly’ purposes.”

Adi Da goes on to Say:

This is what it is to be My devotee—not just in My Sapta Na Sannyasin Hermitage—anywhere. And if you live cooperative culture, you are establishing the essential, life-positive, renunciate circumstance for every devotee.

You do not have to become a formal renunciate living in My Sapta Na Sannyasin Hermitage to enjoy the benefits of the full surroundings and associations that allow the Reality-Way of Adidam to be lived most fully.

Cooperative culture is one of the principal Means I have Given to you to enable each and every individual—even in the circumstance of having to make a living, and so on—to live the Reality-Way of Adidam rightly and most fruitfully, to have full time and energy to exercise this ego-transcending practice, and to be relieved of the encumbrances of one’s ‘worldly’ obligation as an individual to survive and glorify one’s life materially.”  ~Adi Da Samrajashram
